Rivals of Medway is a gangster film that is being produced in and around the Medway Towns. The story centres on Jamie Williams, who’s gang member older brother was killed by a youth from a rival gang back in the early 90′s. Some years later, fresh out of prison after going down for a trumped up drug charge, Jamie decides to take stock of his life. Seeing the success of his brother’s killer VS the dysfunction of his own family, Jamie sets out to avenge his brother’s death, with tragic consequences.

Very dark with pockets of humor, and set to a gritty soundtrack (a mix of contemporary indie rock & early 90′s dance), Rivals of Medway is a tale of revenge guaranteed to leave you feeling like you’ve only just survived!

Rivals has been written by local actor and screenwriter Stuart Buck, and is being produced by Dan Campbell. Stuart’s own acting experience includes working on film sets with stars such as Donald Sutherland and Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood. Both Stuart and Dan were extras in The Shouting Men.

Writing the script was a passion for Stuart, and it took two years to complete. He cites his inspirations for writing from the likes of Guy Ritchie (Lock Stock, Snatch) and Nick Love (Football Factory).
